Change Centre Dundee is excited to develop its new Cycle Ride Leader course. The course is designed to help people who are looking to lead group cycle rides, whether they are novice or experienced riders. The course will cover a range of topics, including route planning, risk management, and first aid.
The course was highlighted to Change Centre by its partners PeopleHood, who arranged Cycling Scotland to oversee the training programme with a Cycle Ride Leader Trainer.
The course is a great opportunity for people to learn new skills and develop their confidence. It is also a great way to get involved in the local community and encourage others to take up cycling. This course is another example of support both on and off the pitch, as the Change Centre increases its focus on a multi-sport model to change lives.
“We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact that the course has on our players and the wider community,” said Positive Change Worker Ryan Hopkins, who has been instrumental in the course’s development. “We want players to find new passions and many want to become more physically active . This leadership course may help empower others to take up cycling more by leading them confidently through small on-road rides or local cycle paths.”
