Our first ‘in-person’ Gala Dinner in two years was a massive success.
Staff, players, guests and speakers descended on the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow for a spectacular night of music, laughs and plenty fundraising for Street Soccer programmes.
We were delighted to welcome headline guest Harry Redknapp, who told tales of football management and jungle life. Harry joined our co-hosts Emma Dodds and Des Clarke on stage for an ‘in conversation’ feature, with Scotland captain and Street Soccer ambassador Andy Robertson joining virtually earlier in the night.
Two terrific sets from Scottish music sensation Callum Beattie top and tailed the night, with impressionist Darren Farley also providing the laughs for our guests.
There were also a touching tribute for the late Ally Dawson, with Street Soccer’s Rab Hare chatting to our hosts around Ally’s influence on his journey to winning the Homeless World Cup with Scotland.
In total, the dinner raised over £143,000 towards our programmes. This is massive for Street Soccer and we are delighted with the generosity on the night.
This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors; Burness Paull Foundation, Arnold Clark, Studio LR and Join Talent.
We had a fantastic night and we hope to do it all again with you next year.
