A new free football session is coming to Glenrothes, Fife with Street Soccer Scotland.
As part of our expanding network programme, our latest location will be situated at Glenrothes Strollers park in Viewfield, Glenrothes with a session every Wednesday from 12:00-1:30pm.
Following a successful 12-week initiative with Fife Council Justice Social Work Services where participants earned a SCQF Level 4, we are pleased to be rolling out a permanent drop in session for players in Fife.
We believe that everyone should have access to football and our free drop-ins allow the local community to engage in sport safely.
Network programme manager Stuart Lovell highlighted that participating players in the previous 12-week initiative were keen to continue their progression with Street Soccer.
“There was real appetite to get this session rolling on a more permanent basis. Big thanks to Glenrothes Strollers for their efforts in helping us get this on. We can see through existing network programme sessions that football has a unique power of bringing people together in Scotland and it is our aim to create an open and inclusive community here in Glenrothes.”
All sessions will be taking place at Glenrothes Strollers facilities on Over Stenton Road, Viewfield, KY6 2AD. No prior registration is needed and all sessions are free.
