Proudly, Street Soccer Scotland are the National Partner to the Homeless World Cup, an International Football Tournament taking place annually.

Team Scotland is comprised of both a men’s and a women’s squad. Scotland have won the Homeless World Cup on two occasions (2007 and 2011) and in 2017 for the first time, both teams were winners in their categories, with the men bringing home the New Balance Shield and the women bringing home the Fretex Plate.

The Homeless World Cup has been described as the most “Inspirational place on Earth” and can be a life-changing event for players. Players take part in trials the length and breadth of Scotland, before coming together to train in Glasgow and then the final team are picked to don the Scotland jersey. Several of Street Soccer Scotland staff have been lucky enough to have been picked to represent their country including Homeless World Cup Winner and Prison Coordinator Robert Hare.
